Hamburg/Köln, 25.01.2005Edited Press Release LONDON (Dow Jones)--Expomedia Tuesday announced that it has entered into a partnership agreement with Gruner + Jahr AG, Europe´s largest magazine publisher, to launch specialised exhibitions and conferences in Germany.
The joint venture between Expomedia Deutschland GmbH, Expomedia´s German subsidiary, and G+J, part of the Bertelsmann group, will set up specialised exhibitions and events that respond to the demand for highly professional b-2-b trading platforms, as well as the exchange of business knowledge.
All the events will be fully supported by the titles of G+J´s Business Press which encompasses CAPITAL, IMPULSE, BORSE ONLINE and FINANCIAL TIMES DEUTSCHLAND. The first two exhibitions have been launched for autumn 2005 and will focus on the digital media and nanotechnology sector. The events will take place in the newly constructed 7,000m(2) EXPO XXI Cologne International Expocentre exhibition and conference venue, which is due to open officially on 1st May 2005. Construction on EXPO XXI Cologne started in spring last year and is now reaching its final stages. Interest in the venue has been very strong and an additional area covering 1,400m(2) in the basement of the historical EXPO XXI building has recently been added.
